I remember the first year of GO SKATEBOARDING DAY. It was a blast. I got together with all my friends, we hit up some parks in Vancouver, drank a few beers, played a game of skate and called it a day. I remember thinking how great it was to get everyone together and just go make a day of it. Now it’s changed. Some of them are at the Rooster skate Jam, others are at the Explosion skate Shop Rail contest and a few of them are attending the Powow skate team Demo at Dunkin Donuts skate park. What I’m trying to say is that this day should be for going skateboarding. It shouldn’t be for throwing events to help promote shoe brands, stores or energy drinks. This year why don’t you try and drop the gloves and just GO SKATEBOARDING with your friends. I’ll be at Hastings skate park betting Raimondo that I can do a heel-flip in the bowl for a tall can.

Just about a weeks gone by (yeah, I know, I’m slow at blogging) since Obey clothing presented Brian Caissies photo show at the Barracks Building.  Tons of people showed up, even the cops!  The event was a success and spawned the birth of the $2.00 drink special.

CONCRETE SKATEBOARDING MAGAZINE is putting out it’s 100th issue. They are having a party. someone will get drunk, someone will show up on a fixed gear bike and someone will be angry that their photo didn’t get printed. Lets party!!!
